Health in Perspective

I have a very minor back injury. I know this because it happened two days ago, and I’m already back in the gym with only slight pain. There were a few short hours, though, where I feared that I had done some serious damage. It made me think in some ways I hadn’t really thought before.

I’m standing here doing tri-pulldowns three minutes ago, and a guy rolls past me in a wheelchair. First of all, I admire that guy so much. But also, for the first time, it really hit me what it could be like to tell a part of your body to do it’s job and to have it ignore you like a three year old. We take so much for granted.

It’s Good Friday, and I have so much to be thankful for. Today, I am thankful for Jesus and what He did for us, and I am thankful for my health.
