Well, it’s been a while. I’m finally getting somewhat settled into Brooklyn, NY, with my family just a couple of weeks behind me. I will be posting more frequently again now.
Fitness-wise, the gym I have here is the best I’ve ever seen. I was sad to part with my painstakingly-built home gym, but this is much better as it both provides more equipment and more opportunities to meet people in the community I moved here to reach. And seriously, this gym is awesome! It’s like a giant warehouse just loaded full of weights.
I definitely get more cardio here, because both my walking and my heart rate has increased. I am still mastering the art of grocery shopping in the city, so I’m not eating as much as I normally would, although I do make sure to keep my protein high. As a result, I’m doing somewhat of a cut by default. I’m seeing myself lose body fat gained on my bulk, so that’s great! I’ll get back into my eating rhythm this week.
