About Me

My name is Brandon.  I am a 27-year-old Christian, husband, and father. I work as a Financial Services Technician in the US Air Force, and I am simultaneously working on my seminary degree to become a pastor. I am previously a gamer, paintball player, and novice break-dancer (the word “previous” here is due to my aforementioned family life, which I would not trade for a year full of double XP weekends or a lifetime supply of paint-balls). The two most important people in my life are my wife Maegan and daughter Maura Jade (If you recognize the name, then you already know my favorite movies!). I also love to work out. I lift weights five times a week and follow an increasingly rigorous eating plan. I do not, however, enjoy running, which is unfortunate considering my current job status. I do get some cardiovascular training in as a result of lifting heavy weights and riding my bicycle back and forth to work, so I still do surprisingly well on my annual fitness tests. I believe in God’s Word in its entirety, and I fight daily to live it out in every area of my life. I also believe that Christians have a responsibility to take care of their physical bodies. I am 5’8″ and am currently 168 pounds. Before I began lifting weights and eating properly, I weighed in at 135 pounds! I have not yet reached all of my fitness goals, but I do not think it is too early to get some others on this journey with me! Although I have no formal training in nutrition or fitness, I do an enormous amount of research on those topics. I look forward to sharing all that I learn with you!

  1. When a youngster, I was always the largest of 4 sisters. They never had weight problems. I became interested in fitness/nutrition around 16 yrs. of age. After falling down a flight of concrete stairs, the chiropractor I visited for my injuries started me on vitamins and just by talking to him, I knew I wanted to learn about meds., vitamins and nutrition and how they affected the body.
I believe we really are what we eat. The bible tells of nutrition. 2015 has new challenges for me. I like to have my quiet time with God in the morning, but if I sleep a little past 5:30a.m., my 6 dogs demand attention SO, when I leave the house, I stop in my dtlriveway and have quiet time. God has greatly blessed me and I need to be more thankful and obedient.
